Manage feelings towards risk The feeling part of our brain directs much of our behaviour. This part of the brain can have a mind of its own and hold views quite independently of our rational mind. Further, our bodies need a certain level of stimulation; if we are not getting enough we tend to take more risks in spite of what we have been told. This lesson helps students become more aware of the feeling part of their brain and how they might manage these feelings. It relies heavily on risk homeostasis theory to help students make informed decisions about their driving behaviour; one they can live with. |
