Evidence for this criterion can be gained by watching the driver in various conditions to see if he or she responds early and appropriately to the situation. Alternatively, the assessor will ask questions to assess drivers' knowledge of how they can detect and respond to changing roads conditions. |

Changes can be detected by differences in colour, shade, sheen, and the rainbow effect of oil. Textures are different for gravel, concrete, bitumen, sand and clay. |
