		Unit 5		Attend emergencies
			Element 2		Responds promptly to the initial dispatch message
						PC (d)	Ensures that responsibilities to operate as crew or driver are agreed beforehand
						notes:	Personnel agree how driving responsibilities will be arranged for that shift. This is done in sufficient time for the ambulance to be ready for an immediate response.
							Local practice should not have a precedent over safety. For example, personnel may normally drive on alternate days but that may need to change if the nominated driver is not fully fit.
							Uses a previously organised navigation method. The preferred method is for the passenger to navigate.
							Uses previously organised methods for operating radio and siren.
